After nearly 18 months of online Zoom networking we returned to the Watermill on Tuesday 27th July 2021.

It was great to be back in the room meeting real people and not sat behind a computer screen

See you all again on Tuesday 10th August 2021

me&dee reaches 20/20 vision target and purchases dream Forever Home

For those of you who have been regular attendees at the Watermill over the last couple of years you will be well aware of the fund raising we have carried out on behalf of the me and dee charity

They have now informed us that, they have been able to complete the purchase of the lodge and are now the proud owners of ‘me&dee’s hideaway’, 3 The Birches, Sherwood Hideaway.

As Sue Ford Networking donated £200 the name “Sue Ford Networking” will be entered into their Memory Shareholders’ Book

We have also hit the £200 mark to allow us to donate a square for the new Mee and Dee Sherwood Hideaway

A big thank you to everyone who donated to these worthy causes!

Me and Dee 2020 Vision Update

Over the last couple of months £170 has been donated to our attempt to raise £200 towards a “square” for the new Me and Dee lodge.

Hopefully we can get to the £200 we would like by the end of 2019

Me and Dee 20/20 Vision Fund Raiser

At a recent meeting Kevin Moody expressed the urgency of raising enough money for the Me and Dee 20/20 vision to ensure that a family could spend Christmas at the new Lodge.

Some of us spoke about helping by donating a square, and that if we all contribute £10 and depending on how many of us join in we could either buy a £50, £100 or £200 square between us.

If you would be interested in joining in the donation please let us know and I will co-ordinate it. I believe that Maria and Mark will be at the meeting next week, therefore it would be awesome if we could give them an idea of how much we can put towards the project. If we can get 20 of us to put in that would be a £200 square and would make a massive difference.

Please email Wendy Mitchell if you would like to be included:

Charity “Walk” to Bondi Beach in Sydney

Imagine receiving news that a loved one has been diagnosed with a condition that will change not only their life but the lives of the whole family. In one short sentence, everything changes.

This happens everyday, Me and Dee support these families by offering them cherished memories through fun days out and short breaks at the seaside where they can spend quality time together enjoying themselves.

Wendy Mitchell and a group of 20 others wanted to ensure more families are able to create their own memories that will last forever.

So what could we do?

Well, we can all walk!

So that’s our challenge .. between 25th April 2019 and 24th December 2019 we have pledged to collectively walk the 10,542 miles from Nottingham to Bondi Beach in Sydney.  We might even get back again 🙂 !!

We would love your donations to help make more memories and support Me and Dee and all of the amazing work they do.

Many Thanks – Wendy

Thank you from Macmillan in Nottingham.

A thank you note from Fiona Sims of Macmillan in Nottingham.

“Thank you so much for the generous donation of £130 received in memory of Sue. I have grouped this together with Susannah’s previous donations of £600 so there is now a total amount of £730 awaiting allocation in memory of Sue.

We are very open to suggestions as to what you feel would be appropriate to do with the money – Susannah had previously mentioned also having something in Sues memory so any suggestions for the total pot would be most welcome. I realise it’s difficult sometimes to think of items but previous suggestions have been  equipment, children’s resources (books, worry monsters etc). It could be something completely different to this – you know Sue so well so I feel you could come up with something that would represent Sue well. We are also happy to have any purchases marked up in memory of Sue if that is what you would like.

I will await contact from you before any money is allocated.
